Ferries and bikes
Transmanche Ferries offer up to three crossings per day from Newhaven to Dieppe all year round. Bicycles are carried free and the crossing takes approximately four hours. Contact via website or 0800 917 1201. From Dieppe you can cycle the traffic-free old railway line to Forges-les-Eaux, part of the Avenue Verte (maps from the Dieppe Tourist Office) or explore quiet river valleys. The flattest way out of Dieppe is along the rue Thiers.
