New Lewes bike shops

After a very lean few years for Lewes bike shops - Lewes Cycles became a funeral parlour, CMCS suffered a devastating fire and even Motor World closed down,  two shiny new ones opened just in time for Christmas 2009!

Cycle Shack opened in November 2009 in part of the new Intersport premises at the old Woolworths store, Cliffe High Street. Contact Steve or Paul 01273 479688.

Future Cycles, currently established in Forest Row, opened its new shop in Friars Walk on 4 December 2009, replacing a car parts store - sign of the times perhaps?

CMCS (Court Mower and Cycle Service) is offering a mobile bike repair service delivering to and from your door and hopes to get reestablished back in the old shop in North Court, off Cliffe High St. Contact Kevin on 01273 581118 /07894092844 and follow the news on his new website.

Dr Bike, Lewes Precinct (opposite Boots) offers free basic cycle maintenance 10-12 most Saturdays except Farmers Market days (normally first Sat each month).

Argos, by Cliffe Bridge in Lewes, also sells bikes and accessories.
