Campaigning for Secure Residential On-Street Bike Hangers in Lewes: Responding to the Lewes Parking Review 3

We first contacted our members and other cyclists in Lewes in November 2024 regarding resident cycle parking (cycle hangers) in Lewes.

 

Believe it or not, Cycle Lewes has been working consistently since then to get a pilot project up and running. We are currently waiting for a final decision by Lewes Town Council and Lewes District Council to our request for two cycle hangers in a South Street car park.  We will let you know the outcome as soon as they get back to us.

 

We have been aware all along that the next phase will be to get East Sussex County Council to approve resident cycle parking (cycle hangers) on roads allocated for resident parking.

 

There is currently a Lewes parking review until 28th February where individuals can request changes to the parking controls.
